I searched this entire forum and didn't find anything so figured I'd ask...
Does anyone know a company that makes plastic/ abs front and rear aftermarket bumpers that improve approach and departure angles WITHOUT having to spend thousands on a new suspension setup to accommodate?
While this would be predominantly a cosmetic modification, it would also be functional (at least in my eyes) in that the bumpers would or could (depending on the design) greatly improve approach and departure angles for offroading purposes! Are there drawbacks? sure... the plastic could get scratched, cracked or dented when offroading (but repairing a crack and applying some new plasitdip a few times wouldn't bother me at all)
With receiver hitch options out now it's not really necessary to spend 1000-2000 on a bumper just to mount a winch in my eyes... and I wonder how often people who spend thousands of dollars on bumper for "armor" purposes really hit them when offroading (used as armor).
If someone would offer a plastic version of our favorite steel bumper designs under $500 shipped, I'd buy one right now is my point! :spy:
