Decided to give this a shot today. Just did the armrest and was so happy with the results I decided to take the whole lower console trim off and go at it. Mind the blend I took the picture right after I sprayed the final coat.
nice job miller... looks really good! i wanted to do mine in black about a year ago but thought it would look funny bc of my exterior color but urs would be so tight black exterior and interior...
I'm going to wait it out for a little bit and see how long this stuff lasts and what kind of regular abuse it will withstand. I've already looked at dying the pieces and other methods, I want to move to an all black interior with black racing seats front and back, black carpet and black headliner so ideally I want the trim to match. Just trying to find the most reliable way.
Here are some of the pictures installed. I accidentally left it out to dry overnight and it poured but it all wiped off fine this morning haha, maybe I'll pull it for a second coat next week, the whole process took me about an hour from taking out to putting back in
Looks pretty good. I wouldn't mind to do that to the 4runner. Mostly black with the sliver sport edition accents like center console piece and silver door buttons. To much work though for every little piece and the tan hides the dirt alot better. GL with the project.
just saw post... what is this plastidip stuff??? i have a black exterior with the gray interior and would like to make more of the interior black. so is this the wayto go without actually painting...tell me more. thanks
