Ultimately I'm trying to figure out if this is normal?

I have been having an awful squeal on startup along with a different kind of squeal while driving. I just replaced the belts which seemed to have fixed the start up squeal (I'll find out tomorrow morning for sure) but my other squeal is still there.
It sounds like a bad bearing or something. I thought for sure it was the AC idler pulley, especially when I pulled it off and could hear the bearings rattle when I shook it, however I replaced it and the problem still persists. The sound seems to only appear when I am going flat or downhill and let off the gas, so while the engine has no load. It especially does it when I'm giving it gas and then let off. The sound isn't very loud, but I know it's there which makes it bothering.
I checked the alternator and she spins smooth as butter without an iota of play. The PS pump spins smoothly and doesn't have any side to side play, just the in & out play. I don't think it's the AC because there's no difference wether the clutch is engaged or not.
If the play in the pump is normal then does anyone have any other hypotheses?
