Please Help! ABS light came on and i can't shift into Drive.

Today i replaced a fuse for my right side headlight because it had blown out. A little bit later i get in to drive to Autozone to buy some replacement fuses but i saw that the ABS light was on. It wouldn't even let me shift the damn thing out of park even with my foot on the brake.
Anyone else experience this problem?

I've heard of pulling out the ABS fuse, any other simple fix ideas?
I hope its nothing serious because i don't want to take it to the stealership.

You may have either burnt out brake lights or a blown brake light fuse.

To remove the ABS fuse you have to remove the fuse box and unbolt it from below.

There is a small hole on the shifter housing that you can insert a key (just slide it in, don't turn it) to unlock the shifter. This should be in the owners manual.

So i just tried unlocking the shifter and the little piece that you lift up next to it is missing...wtf? Theres just a little hole where it should be.

Its been there as long as ive owned the 4runner and i havent ever messed with it, could it have just popped off or something like that?
