Please help knock sensor 94 3.0

Okay I need some help with my 94, check engine light came on after some people worked on the truck a while back, checked the codes its the knock sensor and and truck runs like crap, I guess because the ecu re****s timing, can I relocated or bypass the sensor to see if this truck is gonna run better or are there other issues as well, I already have a 92 with 280,000 and it runs like new, this is a 94 with 170,000, thanks guys
