All,
I'm in the process of negotiating a deal with a dealer for a 2002 SR5 sport.
Prior to completing the sale, some work needs to be done to the truck. I left a deposit today, expecting to come back Saturday and pick it up.
I was given a "set" of keys today for the truck; the dealer retained the other "set".
I got a call this evening where they told me they misplaced the keys they had and need me to drop off what I have. They promised they'd replace the ones lost.
Problem is... the set of keys I have appears to be only a remote and a "valet" or "sub" key.
Can someone help me understand what types of keys the 2002 SR5 sport would have? Is it a sub/master key combination only, or does the master key have a transponder too for this model year?
I want to make sure I get the full complement of "right" keys when I go back to the dealer. My concern is that they're only going to duplicate the one key I already have and call it a day.
I attached a picture of the key I have...
Thanks!
