Hello,

I'll keep this short but I need a car asap and I found a used 08 limited with 114,000 miles and it's $8,400. Is it crazy to buy this old of a vehicle for this much? I hear NOTHING but good things and how they last forever! I blew my head gasket in my audi last week so Im super cautious of a really old ride. Thanks for all your help.

btw These are the most beautiful vehicles

I'm sure you meant to say '98, but you should give us more details. Is it 4x4? SR5, Sport, Limited? Factory Lockers? Has the timing belt been done? For 8.5k, it should be VERY well equipped and all maintenance done, perhaps original owner also. Even then that's a premium depending on your area.

First of all, post in the right section. 2nd, really old ride? Whos buying this you or daddy? 3rd of all, thats a really good price considering year and mileage. A simple search of NADA will confirm that.

Like special ed said, he likely typo'd and meant to say 98, not 08.

Ed brought up good points:
1. Location is important, west coast and CO there is a premium on the price of these things.
2. features make a big difference in price, as does condition. If you can link to pictures, we can determine alot of the features

These are great vehicles, and 114k is a drop in the bucket. that said, $8400 is not a great price unless it has pretty much everything.
 
Ok sorry first off yes 98 not 08. It is a 98 limited 2wd. Very clean, leather seats etc. I looked at the carfax and it had 2 owners. No bad history on the carfax. I guess Im asking from fellow 4runner owners. I have someone telling me to stay away from a car from the 90's since they have had multiple car issues this past year on newer BUT not toyotas. I wanted to ask you because I defiantly can get a newer but boring car for the same price or a older but from what I hear very reliable car in the 4runner
 
Hmmm, doesn't sounds like a great deal to me, but the 2wd things is big IMO. Some of the socal guys can comment more or price.

do you know any of the other features?
 
Well 2WD drops the price quite a bit and only having 114K miles ups the price a bit.
But overall over $8K for a 2WD anyplace in the country is a bit on the high side.
 
Keep looking around, there are many more options, heres one with 98k miles after a quick search.

probably the second time he's put it up since the body of the ad says 7,999. Show up with cash in hand i'm sure he'll do 7k even.
