Please Help Tail Gate 2nd gen

Hi everybody,

I introduce myself, my name is Pavel, I am Belgian and I live in Australia.

I recently get a 4Runner SR5 V6 1992.

I bought it really cheap (1500AUS) at a guy who used to work in the desert.

Lot of sand and dust, runs on 5 cylinder, A/C , taillights and Tailgate down.

I quickly solved the engine problem (a broken ignition Lead), repaired lights and aircon with two fuses.

Remains the Tailgate ...

I don't own the trunk key, the guy who sold it to me told me that he never had but the switch worked "a week ago ."

I checked all the fuses, played around with the wipers, but no reaction.

The window is in closed position, and no noise or reaction when I press the switches on the center console.

Have you any idea about this issue
before I start disassemble everything?

^ Here's a link/downloadable pdf file for the whole rear gate diagram. Back window failure is a common occurrence, i used this to help fix mine. It was as simple as just replacing the motor/relay though. If you need more help, just ask! If I can't help, someone will be able to!

ps- The window lock button on the drive console will lock the rear window switch, just like it does the regular window buttons. So, just double check that too. Also, I have heard if the back wiper is screwed in too tight, it can actually keep the window from going down.. so, check that too and get back to me.
