Please help. Will these wheels fit??

I have a 2004 4runner. I will be installing a 2-1 lift next week. The wheels I have purchased are 17x9, 4.5" Backspacing, -12 offset. I didn't notice the offset when I bought them because I had the same wheels on my 3rd gen, so thought it was not a fit ment issue. I will be running 265/70r17 all terrains.

My question is, can I make these wheels work? Or will it be entirely to much trouble? Couldnt find a answer with this suspension setup. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And yes..I have used the search feature. For two straight days. Thanks guys!

You may have to move the fender liner forward, that would be the only concern I would think. Very Easy

Also, a 9" wheel is pushing the limits for a 265 series tire. It's going to look goofy. You're going to have wheels that from lip to lip are 9.5" wide and your tread width is going to be 8.5" so it's going to have that roller skate look. Everyone's opinion varies, but to me it's going to look goofy.

I think it's going to rub on the front fender liner AND the rear where the mud flaps normally mount. You're probably going to have to do some trimming for sure.

Yeah I assumed that the liner would need to be moved forward, and after some research of the process that doesn't seem like a problem.

it probbly wont look bad since its a tall tire and you can get away with it. if it was a shorter tire it will be more noticable.

its the -12 that will be the biggest problem for you. this pushes the wheel past the fender line.

This is a very timely thread for me, as I’m actively searching for new wheels and tires. I was recently looking at some wheels with similar specs, and was also considering 265/70/17 KO2s to go on them. I was hoping to get the wheels out a bit more than the stock ‘04 SR5 wheels because they look to far inboard to me. I was thinking that the -12mm offset would bring them to be in the same plane as the wheelwell tops, but maybe not? I was looking to find rims to get the stance right without needing spacers if possible. I also wasn’t thinking the 265/70s would be too narrow for the rims, but now that’s more food for thought! Don’t mean to hijack this thread, but since I’m on a similar quest, hopefully it will be beneficial all around. What do you guys think would be a better tire size for say a 9” rim, without going so large that a bunch of clearance issues start occurring? I currently have around a 2” front lift, but may go a bit higher if needed. I was planning to upsize the tires a bit since I’m buying everything new anyway.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I am new and can't start a new thread yet. I have a 2007 4runner with 2'' front lift and 1.5 rear lift. I found these wheels with very good price: XD133 Fusion Off-Road 17x9 6x5.5" -12mm Black/Machined/Tint Wheel Rim 17" Inch 885463197821 | eBay, plus 10% cashback on eBay today. I have been searching around about the compatibility, and I ended up here. I think 17x9 wheels with -12mm offset will bring the tires outwards 61mm. which will cause rubbing issues as mentioned above.
