Please Help!

I am doing a motor swap and i am very confused. I have alot of questions wish some1 would read and respond... Anyways. I bought a 3vz engine tranny combo. I would like to switch my old intake manifold to the new motor due to LAME California smog regulations. Can I do that successfully? I was also wondering if i need to switch my Ecu because my old motor and new motor are different years. I am not sure what year my new one is How do i find out?
