Hi, I have a problem I hope someone can help with. I have completed insalling the Gobi Stealth Rack, and I noticed that the molding between the windshield and the car has seperated. I could of happened before the install and I am just noticing it. I took it to the dealer to look at it and they said they have never seen this before. The second problem is more serious. After I installed the Fairing i noticed a series of dents between the windshield and the Fairing. These could have been there all along and I am just noticing because of the Fairing install, therre is no way of knowing. I am taking it back to the dealer to talk to someone else that they are bringing in. There is no damage to the paint whatsoever.

I haven't heard of anyone with these types of issues with their Gobi racks. From the pics it almost looks like it's been hit with a rubber mallet all across the top of your runner, that may have caused the upper part of the wind shield to drop and cause that separation on the bottom. I'm sure you would've notice it while you were installing the Gobi though. I would imagine it's vandalism, I can't see the all metal gobi rack drawing up and denting your car.

I am positive it is not the Gobi Rack or the install although I was leaning on the area beneath the Fairing. and i dont think it is Vandelism.

You think it could be Hail damage from the dealer? Did "you" install the rack? Or someone else?

I dont think it is hail damage because there is no damage to the paint. I installed the Rack myself and did not notice the damage untill afterward. I think it might be possible that the damage was always there and I am just noticing it because the fairing gives it a line of reference. although it is kind of hard to miss.

Looks to me, like you leaned on that area too hard during the install...

Yes! Think about it, that's alot of pressure in a small area, and all the sheetmetal is thin...

Good news is it won't cost too much to repair with paintless dent removal. Good Luck
