It is 6000k. I don't know how old the system is. The guy i bought the 4Runner from in OCT 2012 told me that it was installed recently, but I'm not sure how recent. It was working perfectly when I took it off last week.
I'm not sure why it has the little blue bulb other than to add to the slight bluish tint of the 6000k HID bulbs.
