Plugs and Plug wires

I am in need of Plugs and Plug wires for my 97 SR5
it has 191000 on it and they were replaced at 90000...anyways I cald the dealer today and they were $73 for wires and plugs were like $4each..I cald my local Toyota mechanic and he said to only buy the Toyota plug wires.
What would yall do? What have yall used, could I get out any cheaper but still have quality and reliability?

yeah, imho NGK= better than OEM,

I also run Bosch Platinum 4 prong Plugs, in fact, I need to do the same thing, I already bought my plugs, just havent gotten the time..

NGK actually makes the wires for a lot of the factories. Some of the applications still don't seem to fit as well as the dealer offered items.

I have sold and installed hundreds of sets of Borg-Warner wires. I like them for a good all around wire. They are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

NGK or Denso in Japanese cars.
Fram = dirt!!

Might as well and buy the K&N. You will thank yourself later.

I bought bosch plat. plugs & wires. So far doing great...but then again anything was better than the original plugs from 96 with 180k. Two of them were misfiring, had a wire not shooting, and other once in awhile. Not sure what I paid though, but installed them myself, pretty simple to do, just get a stretched magnet lol. Think it was about $46 for wires, and $5 per plug. Got the receipt in car but too lazy to look. might go with ngk anyways heard good stuff about them.
