How the car sits currently:





Figured I'd start a build thread to keep track of everything going on with my car. For starters I'm a full time college student, so money for mods is not always available. However I've been able to build my car some what so I figured why not start my own build thread.

So to begin this was my first Truck, not a whole lot of parts or love went into it, because I was always paying to fix something gone wrong with it.



I had seen some pictures of the 2014 when it was first released and didn't care for it then, but when I finally saw a trail edition in person I fell in love. I think what really made me fall for this car was the Red stitching on the seats, still can't get over that. I bought this Silver TEP with KDSS in June of 2014.



After my first offroad excursion with it, I decided to nickname him "Buddy." He stayed stock for about a year before I finally scraped together the cash to begin my money pit.

Suspension/Wheels/Tires:

Toytec/Bilstein adjustable coilovers front
Toytec 2" and Bilstein 5100 rear
17x8.5 Method NV's
285/70/17 Cooper ST MAXX (don't get me started on how much I love these)

Exterior:

Demello 3 hoop Front bumper
plasti-dipped fenders, valence, and emblems

Interior:

LED's all around the cabin
2 JL audio 12" subwoofers with a 500w amp

Lighting:

XenonDepot Ultimate HID kit 5000K
DDM Tuning High beam/DRL
Baja Designs Squadron R

Future:
Winch
KING, FOX, or ICON suspension
Possibly a roof rack?
RTT for travelling
Either a rear bumper with swing out or a tire carrier on back

Stage 1 of Buddy

So to begin the evolution of Buddy I bought Bilstein 5100 front and rear and got a daystar 1.5" spacer for the rear. This really is a great moderate setup, it rode well, performed well off-road and is very cost effective. I also got my hands on a set of Method NV's, a set of wheels I had always drooled over on Raptors. Originally I had never even considered the Coopers but after reading so many great reviews figured what the hell. Wow these tires have served me well, excellent traction off road, road noise is surprisingly not bad at all and they look just fantastic.



Soon after the wheels went on I plasti-dipped away at Buddy

Now time for the good stuff. So this summer I was able to work full time and really get to ordering parts. Due to living out in the country of south Georgia, deer are everywhere, I mean everywhere, just earlier this year my father had his second run-in with one. So I ordered some HID's and decided to go with the XenonDepot Ultimate HID kit in 5000K, they are the perfect color IMO and really do a great job of (blinding everyone) lighting the road.After reading another member's post on the DDM Tuning LED's I ordered a set right away and WOW is all I can say. These lights easily outrun my baja designs squadrons and throw light in 180 degrees.

However, this is not all I have thrown money at my car for. I just installed the Toytec adjustable coilovers front and rear and more importantly just put a deer killing machine *cough* I mean front bumper from the people over at Demello.

They no longer offer them, but he told me they planned on a fiberglass option down the road
