Poll: Personalized License Plate

I've had mixed feelings on putting a custom plate on my 4th Gen. What are your thoughts?

Not for me, personally, but I've seen a few I thought were clever, cool, or entertaining. Most are just "ok, whatever" to me.

I had a personalized plate once. It wasn't worth the attention, both positive and negative.

Meh...waste of money. I did it once for one of my bikes. Sold the bike, never got another vanity plate.

I usually put one on any vehicle I own. Some are clever, some aren't. It's relatively cheap in VA so a lot of people have them.

It's not a vanity plate but a local plate for area , just supporting Vegas Springs . Most states have them , bout all I have for vanity ! Just something different sorta personal ?

I'm a firm believer of having a plate that is hard to remember quickly. So when you are hooning your car, and the spectators are pissed, they are trying to note down your license plate, a bunch of random letters and numbers is a lot harder to remember than one that is easy to read.

My personalized college plate cost more than my registration but oh well I enjoy it.

I have one - my 4x4 club abbreviated. I think it's visible on my avatar. The cost is minimal.

Just looked and I guess not. Abbreviated Front Range 4x4.

I have one too on both my vehicles. I like it, it's fairly cheap and gives it a personal touch.

I put personalized plates some years ago on one of my cars. Although I enjoyed it, I would never do it again. Makes me feel like I'm too "into" myself.

So, I would say I dislike or "hate" them... No offense!

Just picked up my CA black and yellow legacy plates today for the t4r! Looks pretty awesome

I have one and I like mine (obviously)...sometimes (rarely) I think it can funny to see one (my favorite so far as been "MPG FAIL" on a Ford Bronco), but I don't think a person is either dumb or cool for having one. If somebody's license plate can give me a chuckle while I'm stuck in traffic I'm ok with that.

At the end of the day it is just a license plate and not a big deal.

Unless I am evading the police, I love personalized plates.
(especially reading and trying figure out other people's plates)
My entire family had them at one point.
Our last name is spelled "Au".... so we took advantage of it.

Mine was Au-Summ (hence my member name)
My sister (a writer) had Au-thor
My Dad had Au-Mine
and my mom had Au-Fooy

If my last name was Smith, I would never had a personalized plate.

I had FYYFF, but they figured it out and mailed me a standard plate with a nice letter.

I think they are kind of lame, but that's just my personal opinion
