My wife had one on our Yukon XL. We have three boys so it said "BOYSX3". I thought it was cool. Any mother with three boys and me deserves a little credit. One day while driving the truck alone I noticed a limp wristed guy driving along side waving franticly to get my attention. I thought I hit something. Anyway I roll down the window and the guy asks me does the plate say "boys sexy"? I guess the 3 backwards was the E. The plates came off and we've never had one since.

We have always thought personalized plates were cool, but never thought we'd get one ourselves. We decided to play with our last name "Lord" and I love it!

Done right, there are some clever combinations. Some I just never figure out what they say. I always had them for the Jeep and have one on the T4R.

My glorified station wagon ( Runner)has my carry round caliber spelled out , have to remember here in anti gun Mexifornia it is a big middle finger to all the Democrats.

I've always thought vanity plates are silly, so I never had one 'til I got my T4R in March.
One thing though, I visited Canada 4 times last summer and at the border they asked about the plate 6-7 times. I'm not sure if knowing it was good or bad.
I still think they're silly.

I was sitting at a red light in Anchorage a while back trying to figure out why the guy ahead had BOX HRO on his plate. Then I noticed the badging just to the left of the plate. It was a Nissan Juke.

I've never even considered getting one, I guess I've seen too many stupid ones. A custom toyota badge that says "FunRunner" or "Inv4drZm" maybe.

I like creative ones. Plus, it’s easy to remember when you need to write it down on a hotel registration card. My plate seems to take people a while to understand but once they do, they’ve always complimented it. “4X4U4YA”. This is also my Instagram username.

Naming the beast was tricky... Until it all clicked while playing around with plate options...

before the 3.4 swap it was DMV random issue as "3LTR959" (which still worked as 3.0 liter, 1995, bought in September. Sometimes the universe throws you a bone)

I've had my personalized plate for a couple years now, and in that time I've seen hundreds of people behind me get out their camera and take a photo. Not the best idea if you wanted to remain incognito, but I get a good chuckle every time I see it; just renewed the tag.
