Polling experience installing dbl din stereo w/7" screen

thinking of replacing stock unit with dbl din touch screen. would like a model with 7" screen. Are other members able to get them to fit? Found a black friday deal on amazon I was going to jump on, but then it said wouldn't fit my vehicle, though I'm sure I could get it to do so with the right kit and a little trimming. I have 03 sport with JBL, no RDS, no Nav.

you will need something like this to use an aftermarket HU with the jbl system. maybe thats why they state it wont fit, meaning it wont work. PAC Toyota Factory Integration Adapter Install a new receiver while retaining your JBL amplifier in select 2003-up Toyota and Lexus vehicles (Model TATO) at Crutchfield.com you might also need a dash kit & correct trim, try checking the audio section for more info.

I have an '04 sport and put in a alpine w205 6.5" without too much issue. You need a trim kit - I used this one. I tried a similar scosch trim kit that didn't work, but this Metra kit worked perfectly (and the link shows it installed on a 2003 sport).

They fit, plus seaching and following directions you can install it yourself. Its very easy.

You will need a wiring harness & fit kit (metra). It will take you 2-3hrs, including beer.

I was never impressed with jbl system. Have some aftermarket speakers and amp new in box collecting dust. As long as I'm not using stock speakers and amp, I shouldn't have to worry about PAC adapter?
