Are you talking about poly-urathane bushings instead of rubber?
Poly doesn't degrade over time like rubber does, but poly doesn't have the 'give' like rubber does (which can be a plus or a minus, depending on application), and poly transmitts noise and vibrations where rubber doesn't.

poly urethane repair

I am in costa rica and have a 92 4runner.The front end balljoints etc are worn .The hard plastic inside gets worn inside, even the metal. If they are too bad they won't do them. They take the grease zert hole and inject poly urethane into it.When it is full of poly it pushes the ball down where it suppose to be ,in its socket,so to speak.I had not heard of this in the states. The guy that does it said he went to florida to learn this process. He says there is so much china aftermarket stuff out there and his is much better.upper a arm ball, lower a arm ball, steering ball joints.Pretty much everyone of them repaired is about $325.00 total.Aguy pointed out just two that were $100.00 each.thanks for the feedback,I would like to try only one and see.
