Poor de-mister performance on winshield

Is anyone else experiencing poor de-mister performance on the front windshield?

I have noticed that each time I go into the snow and play, meaning I usually get wet and cold, digging out and the like, I find that while I am warming up with the heater (and the heated seat - which is not currently working) my windshield fogs up pretty good.

If I blast the windshield on high, it clears, but just fogs up again as I move the air off of it.

Yes I run the A/C as well to get the moisture out of the air.

The other thing I have noticed is that when in snow and cold, my sunroof can almost rain moisture, it gets very wet. Is that normal?

This is my first 4x with a sunroof, I have had I think 5 or 6 others.

Just wondering if anyone has ideas?

inspect your cabin air filter, if it is dirty, the poor air flow will cause fogging.

How often do you wipe down the inside of your windshield? There can be a buildup of crudd that inhibits foggy windshields. My suggestion is to get some glass cleaner and give it a once over.

Im getting a new windshield tomorrow, its badly cracked, so i will
see how it goes with that

When you select floor or vent make sure you're using the fresh air mode not recirculate mode. When you select defrost it automatically takes it to fresh. I can't remember if it leaves it in fresh or returns it to it's previous condition when you select floor or vent after being in defrost.

From my experience it seems the 4R is more sensitive to fogging on the inside of the windshield than other vehicles I've had for whatever reason, even with a new cabin filter.

My moonroof does fog up, but not to the point where it's dripping wet. What I've noticed that fogs up a lot and easily is the driver side mirror, I'm constantly turning on the defogger to get that one to clear.

If you're cleaning the inside glass, use Stoner's Invisible Glass, the stuff is amazing.

I've noticed that all of my current Toyotas, Camry, Taco and 4Runner, the windows tend to fog easier than previous vehicles. I don't have to constantly keep airflow directed at the windsheild, but I remember pointing the airflow there more often than before.
