I'm gonna have to do some work on it when I get the money so I may as well go ahead and start a thread. 1995 sr5 auto 4x4. I'm going to list symptoms and request thoughts from you on them.
- very poor gas mileage, 12mpg, not worried about low power (typical)
- shifts into o/d way too quickly and then bogs down, get a shuddering, have to overide with th switch till rpm's increase and load decreases
- strong smell of fuel - richness, pings real bad but that could just be typical Ethanol reaction(??)
does this sound like TPS and/or Knock Sensor issues to ya'll?
other than this everything works great. Have only one electrical issue, my blower doesn't work, no a/c no heat, have to use the rear blower for heat. I saw the post on this fix and it is quite involved it looks like. But I got my shocks and rear coil springs finally, will get those on in the next day or 2.
