Poping noise from transmission

Hi all,

Has anyone experience a poping noise, either coming from the transmission or shifter when shifting into reverse. I notice this only happens when the vehicle has sat over night. After the vehicle has been driven, no noise when shifting from park.

Mine was doing the same exact thing. Put it into reverse and it sounds like you just ran over a little ballon. I will tell you this..... I was adjusting my emergency brakes the other day and noticed that 3 of my lug nuts were loose. Since then I have not heard the noise. I am wondering if it was getting torqued just enough to cause that noise. Thats all I can think of, it hasnt happened since then. And yes, I did give my tire shop an ass wippin.

I had the loose lug nut issue a few months ago which resulted in 3 (so far) broken lugs. Remove the wheel and inspect the lugs to see if the've been stretched (lugs are not the same diameter). Do it yourself rather than take it to the dealer as they won't do crap. I ended up having a yelling match with the service/warranty mgr's to get this covered under warranty. Good luck.
