Get yourself a soft top so you can put it up / down easily, and at will.
No need to worry about the possibility of rain. Just put your top back up

I took mine off for the first time last year, it was great. Then I got stuck in a mud hole and threw lots of mud up in the air.... guess where it landed? :dammit: I really should clean that out someday.

Haha...well I don't have to worry about that. Mine will never see dirt as long as I own it.
It has never been off road so not going to start now....

As much as I try to keep mine clean, I have to remember that I got it for a reason. It is a fun toy and as much as it hurts sometimes to see it get scratched up it is so much fun taking it offroad.

Nice!! I'm going for the first time soon. I just got a pulley lift to store it in the garage to lower it on/off. Weather is not looking so good anymore. You must be in Wester WA somewhere? I'm in Renton area.

My '88 is (almost) as nice as yours... Though I've had my share of off-road use.
