Popping out map light console

Hello everyone i have a 00' SR5 and I am going to install a V1 and try to run it up to the map lights to find a 12v source. I am having a really hard time figuring out how to get the map light console off. I have tried prying it open with a flat head, but I can't pop it out. Can anybody help me?

Has anybody taken that dome light console out with the map lights in it? Do I just pop it out? or am i missing some screw somewhere? If I knew I was supposed to pop it out .. I could pull extra hard

My 05 just pops out. Just put in HomeLink about 30 minutes ago. Grab plate in back by the windshield and give it a tug. Out without a problem. Don't know about an 00, but the 05 was a piece of cake.:cheers:
