Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA Meet and Greet

Damn it... I saw this and got really excited. Even went to go put the date in my calendar, then noticed the 25th of July this year is a Monday, not a Saturday. Re-checked the date and noticed this was posted last year out:

Well if you guys plan anything around the Bend, Oregon area between February 5th to the 23rd I may join in as I'll be up there for vacation.

I say a mountain run in the Cascades!

I'm not sure how proximal the trails are to Portland or up in WA. A mountain run sounds like the plan though... I got beaches in NC,
Someone else propose a date if you want, the 27th is a Saturday that I have set aside for a full day of... whatever a group wants to do, Otherwise, I'll find my own damn way :lookout:

I wasn't sure where to post this, but in June (towards the end of it, getting exact dates) myself and my father will be doing another overland trip from Kfalls north up into Hoodoo(bend/sisters) area. Average 40-80 miles a day so its a good solider 4-6 days depending on speed/things we want to see or look at. If anyone is interested let me know as we are doing another run in September from Hoodoo (east).

On a side note I was up at 4k elevation on Sunday by myself and ran into about 4' of snow (that was in the north side/shade areas).

You should go further north and hit up the NW Overland Rally in Plain, WA. on June 23-26. I'll be attending it along with my teardrop to attend a few classes and hopefully take the "Recon" (teardrop trailer) on a few runs.

I think we want to do this as I've been struggling and need to just get out. I got dates and time last night and we are leaving on Sunday 6am to head down. It was such a beautiful, lovely that was just breath taking last year but i'll look at doing it in 2017 =). Thanks!

So planning on 6am June 19th and returning the 25th. =) I can hear the grumbling already at the 6am time, but its 350 miles to the trail head and planning to do 20 miles of trail to the first camp spot =) I'll do lots of pictures again and I appreciate the offer very much Ducmonsta! I'll put it in for 2017!~

Hello all, as the weather is getting better it is now time to meet some more new faces we have made in this group.

This will be a Meet & Greet Family style Potluck, if you know how to cook...bring that popular side dish to share! If not grab a bag of chips or some treats, maybe even some drinks (no alcohol). The grill will be up and running so bring any meat you and your family wants to cook up. We will also have yard games set up and welcome you to bring any you have in the garage.

This will be a great time to show off what you have from awnings to tents galore as parking space is very open. Any future trips that you would like to get going with others? This will be the perfect time to plan it out.

As being community based I'm working with the Portland rescue mission to help provide anything you might have laying around not getting used that is on the list below, anything helps. I will load up and drop off everything after the event.

These items represent only our most-needed. We also accept all types of clothing for men, women and children.

Pack it in,pack it out(or leave it in the garbages provided)
We have a sink and grill provided but if you want to fire up propane grills etc please let me know and I'll be sure to have an area set up for that.

Hope most of you can make it out, please remember that this is a public park so please respect the facilities provided to us... no doughnuts in the grass haha.
Also unfortunately there is no animals allowed, sorry.
