Possible Bud built group buy

Maybe Bud has some big orders to fulfill and he is trying to secure them before committing to a Group Buy. Maybe he is trying to get a bulk steel order quote and see how great of a deal he can pass on, maybe he is just busy and needs a few days.

If you cant wait- pay full price and i bet youll get some immediate service.
Otherwise, may be in your best interest to be grateful Bud is even considering a "deal", and be patient.
If it was me and i saw a bunch of ungrateful, spoiled punks that thought they were entitled to a deal here on this post, i would blow it off and wait for them to pay full price.
I assure you Budbuilt has a good, thriving business and does not need to give away product. If we get a deal, he is doing it as a favor to us.

I was in no way implying that everyone on the board, or even a minority, is a spoiled punk.
I am saying people expecting/demanding immediate responses for an amazing deal just because they have asked for one are a litlle high.
We should all be patient and thankful if Bud is going to give a special deal.
No one is going to die cuz their runner doesnt have sliders, skids, or a bumper for the next couple weeks. Unless they hit a deer and antlers come flying thru their windshield that would have been blocked by a bumper hoop????
 
The issue is not that we need the stuff now. You make it seem like we are asking him to make us a whole bunch of stuff at a loss. When in reality, we are trying to gaurantee him work so that he can continue to profit.

Why do companies make contracts? So they can have guaranteed work and so the person they are making the contract with can have gauranteed pricing, not so that they can lose money.

If he has enough business that it isn't worth having guaranteed work, he should refuse to accomodate the group buy in sooner than two weeks. If he doesn't, he should be grateful that a group of people want to give him guaranteed business.
 
Exatly, I am not demanding an awesome price that he will lose money on. If you read my emails or heard the conversations between bud and I, I made it very clear that I wasn't asking him to give his products away. I did ask that he gave us a price we could both benefit from. He was interested in the group buy when I initially talked to him, but for him to treat us like this makes me think he has changed his mind. I understand its probably a hassle to deal with this big of a group buy , but on the same hand people don;t like to be lead along. So if he changed his mind that is perfectly fine, all he would have to do is tell me that he doesn't want to do the group buy anymore. I would say " ok no worries" and call it a day. The reason I am getting impatient is the fact that he says he is gonig to give us an answer and then doesn't. To me its breaking your word, which is basically lieing. And thats bad business. When I do business with someone I am as honest as possible and don't try and rip people off, even on CL. I hate when it hapens to me and I don't do it..
 
Gentlemen, lets keep this thread simple and not turn it into some arguing grounds from Zidaro's comments... I feel like we're about to go on a bunny trail from one stupid comment. If it works out, Great! If not, maybe we will all be bud built skid owners someday.

True dat. I was just over excited when I saw this. But the title does say "possible group buy" so ill keep quiet till we hear some news :) just want to put my money here before it gets spent on taffy. Love me some taffy.
 
I don't see the sliders on the BudBuilt site, perhaps everyone knows this but me? I'd be interested in pricing for:

4th Gen Sliders, with the kick out, preferably with plates welded into the gaps for mud-sling protection :)

I just hope Bud doesn't respond sometime after Wednesday and says yes to the group buy, cause I plan on buying full skids on Wednesday lol.
 
Pretty much is dead before it started. I'll give bud one last time on monday and If no answer ill be deleting this thread most likely.

Anytime bro... Wished it would have panned out.

I think I am going to build my own now though. I can get a sheet of 1/8" steel for 140 bucks and fab it up myself. The guy who bent my corner tubes for my rear bumper has a water jet table, brake and dimple dies at his place and I might take it to him and have him cut a logo out for me and bend it up.. Not sure if ill go that far though, I will be building my own though with out a doubt.
