Possible DIY black pearl emblem?

hi, does anyone here know how to black pearl the emblem DIY? i searched online and only a few, very a few places sell the black pearl emblem kit, but they are running around $270 - 300 at least. i found most for 3rd gen but i want something for 4th gen. if it can be DIY, how long they usually last? will they fade out? thank you so much!!!
