I am just throwing this out there because I'm on the fence about it. It is a VERY nice unit. You can set the color to amber so it is a good match for the 4R. It plugs directly in to a 4Runner that doesn't have JBL, so it's plug and play for those of you with the SR5 or the Sport model like I have. Steering controls work just like they are supposed to. Comes with an antenna and the factory 6.1 disc that it came with.
I bought it on a whim a month ago right before I went in to have surgery, and installed it for and hour the other day to try it out and make sure everything worked and it was probably more stereo than I can handle. I think I'd be wiser to spend the money on some headrest dvd players for the kids or something else. I already have navigation on my iphone and frankly I don't go places that often that I find confusing. The roads here are pretty easy to deal with.
So...... I am considering selling it, but am not sure what is a fair price just yet. I hate to be "that guy" who doesn't put a price on something, but I am trying to round up cash ASAP to get a down payment for a home that is in foreclosure, so I'd probably be best to sell it, but don't want to insult the collective here with too high of an asking price. I may trade it for a little less of a stereo and some cash. Something that isn't overwhelming like an Eclipse unit that allows me to use the factory aux and play dvd's and whatnot, or maybe I'll just stick with the factory unit I have and get some cash and use some of it to get a dvd player for the kids and put the rest towards the house down payment (or all of it towards the house if I'm using my head).
If anybody has any idea of what would be fair or of a good trade idea then hit me up. I have pictures available. This is an extremely nice unit. Looks and functions like brand new. I have seen them go for $800+ on eBay, but I'd rather not go that route and am not looking to make eBay money (unless somebody is really desperate to give me that much!).
