Possible Engine Swaps for 94' automatic 3.0...?

Hey everybody I have have A 1994 4runner 3.0 automatic. It is in the process of being transformed into a pre-runner/Desert runner
I have a huge list of things I want to do with it but first I wanted an engine swap I dont think My engine with 175,000 miles will make it In the desert with a lift and oversized tires. I've heard of a few possibilities for engine swaps such as a Toyota supra engine and a Chevy small block does anyone know if these will work or what needs to be done for them to fit and work properly?
I'm looking for more HP and Tourqe for under $2500.

You can do the Chevy 350
The Toyota 3.4L is the most comman done swap in the 2nd gen.
