Possible first time buyer looking for yalls help

Hey guys, first of all let me say im new to the forum, and possibly looking to be a new owner of a 95 4runner. Im mostly looking for a trial rig/snow buggy that will get me around the mountains here in Asheville, NC. I found this one about 2 hours away and wanted to know what to look for when I go to look at it. This one has pretty bad hail damage and a some bondo on the tailgate. Good Price, and is it worth the money. Thanks for everyones suggestions and have a great day!

If you want a reliable beater, I think 3 grand is good. Offer 2,500 though. Has it been maintained well?

Well I took a look at her, and it was a bit of a disappointment! All of the sheet metal just below the glass on the rear lid had been bondo'd as and was missing from where the hail had hit it. Plus the front section of the rear fender wells had been bondo'd really badly and the whole truck had been repainted (I think it was a macco 500$ job, paint all over the trim). Dealer also said it was from up north. Although it had low mileage, I had a very bad feeling I was about to buy a rust bucket with alot of hidden problems. Good news, Ive got the bug now, so im gonna be the owner of a 4runner very soon, and park it next to my 89 wrangler :smile: :banana:

The price is too high based on your description. Offer them 1200 to 1500 cash if you want it and no more. You can bet they only paid about 800 or 900 for it. Honestly I would look for another.
