Possible light bar options for the trail gear rock defense bumper?

Hello, I have a 2000 4runner, and I fit a 1st gen Tacoma bumper on it, and I was wandering how I could mount a light bar to it. I was also wondering how this 12 inch light bar was mounted to this tubing, when there is another tube under it, how do you fit the nut into the bumper to hold on the led bar, because I know tube mounts will not work either because of the lower tube that is blocking it. This picture is an example of what I would like to do. Any help???

You could drill a hole in the tube then have someone tack a nut in place of the hole or you could drill through both tubes and use one long bolt, only things I can think of that doesn't involve some ugly --- jerry rigging. I guess you could try self-threading screws depending on how thick the tube is. I'm sure someone somewhere makes a mount that would work but I don't know of any. All the light bars I've done they either bolted up or used u bolts, sorry.

Maybe I don't have enough coffee yet, but my first thought would be to drill and tap through the top of the lower tube. Then you would have threads in and out of the top tube and into the top of the lower tube. Depending on the thickness of the tube \ pipe, that could give you two threads per layer (6 threads total). That should hold it.

But if you don't have a steady hand doing it, I'm not sure if you would be able to line up the bolt and get it threaded that far down.

Depending on the space behind the tubes, I would think welding several "L" brackets on the back side of them. Then mount the light to the "L".

Get some 3 hole or 4 hole B-Line Inside Strut "L"s, that would give you plenty of support.

How hard was it to fit that bumper from a tacoma to your runner? What did you have to do? Do you have more pictures of it?

It fits right on, you just have to cut the plates that hold the bumper so the bracket could slide on, also on the side mounts, the bolt distance is different so you will only be able to fit one bolt on each side, not a big deal if your planning on welding it

Nutserts, drill and tap for 1/4-20 hardware, weld tabs just behind the tubes... the options are endless [emoji1360]
