Possible Oil Leak Help

I was changing the differential fluids today, and while attempting the front differential, I noticed a line that looked like it might slowly be leaking oil, although, it looked more like a tranny line. This is where I need the help, i.e. identifying the line. There were two lines right below the oil filter, again, they looked like maybe they were tranny lines, but not sure. One had oil and gunk all over it. Any idea what that line is based on my description?

Also, in attempting the front diff fluid change, I couldn't figure out where it is. Can someone direct me to the proper drain and fill plugs on the front diff.

Also, I have a 2001 4runner.

Sorry to bring back an old one, but my '01 is leaking right there as well and figured someone might have an answer on this.

Anyone? Oil cooler line?

Pretty dumb, but I checked while on lunch at the office (glad I keep latex gloves in the 4Runner) and my oil filter backed off. Never have had that happen before. Guess I'll watch that
