Possible transmission or transfer case problem-07

I have an 07 4Runner with automatic, V6, 4 wheel drive.

I was turning at slow speed in my driveway, when the 4wheel drive started to ratchet like it was trying to go in or out of 4wheel drive. (Selector in 2 wheel) The next time after starting from stop the transmission felt like it was going in and out of gear several times before it finally caught and accelerated. Those are the only times that it has driven abnormally, but about a day apart. I took it to the dealer but he didn't think he could do anything until it acted up more frequently. Not anxious to be out on the road with a boat and have more problems. Wondering if anyone has had similar experience? Thanks in advance for your help.

Similar setup on my 2003 (except mine has the 4-speed transmission, yours has the 5-speed) and never a problem.

have you recently tried to engage your 4x4? Any blinking lights on the dash?

There were no flashing lights indicating 4 wheel drive nor has there been any warning lights, such as check engine. Thanks for your reply.
