post lift, need opinion on leveling

I just got done installing OME906s in the 99 T4R. I got a small lift in the front from the Bilstein HDs. Right now it stands about an inch taller in the back. Should I wait for the rear springs to settle, or should I put in a Toytec spacer?

For those running 906s, how long did it take for the springs to settle and how much did they sag?

Those 906s will most likely stay that way. They aren't very prone to sagging. You may settle a tad, but not an inch. I you ever load up the back, the 906s are pretty stout and don't generally sag under weight, unless its a lot. If I were you, I'd keep it how it is, these trucks look good with a little rake.

I like them with a little rake too. But, if you want to level it, go with Toytec 1/4" spacers. They'll actually net you 1/2" lift. I had this set up on my first '99 (bottom link in my sig for pics) with Bilstein HD's and it looked awesome IMO.

If your about an inch from level, the coils wont settle that much. Maybe an eighth of an inch or a bit more but not much. I think they look good with a bit of a rake. Also, when your towing, you will appreciate it.

Keep in mind that any sag that may be associated with a load would possibly be magnified by a slight "lift" in the front due to weight transfer. Wouldn't really take as much as you might think.

The slight rake is quite attractive / aggressive. I like it!

I think that looks REALLY good as is. I just put new 99 rear spings with a 1/4 inch spacer on my 4runner. I have a little rake like you.

Did you put new rubber strut mounts in the front? I installed new KYB strut mounts with new trekmaster shocks and also noticed a slight increase in the height in the front. Iu sed my old 99 springs in front.

Most rockcrawlers have a rake to them like yours. For me the rear hitch is the first part of my truck to have clearance issues. Getting the back end up in the air will help off road capibilities.

I re-used my top plates and springs. I tried to use some 1.5" rear spacers, but that was too much rake. If I find some used 1/4 top spacers I will put those in. For now I'm gonna leave it alone. Besides, it should be close to level with my 135 pound Akita in the back!
