Just got back from doing an extended Mojave road run with some folks from the "120" forum.
Snapped one front sway bar connecting rod, bent the other, on full compression in the whoops learned that the PO attempts to tub the body were not nearly enough as I was stuffing the front wheels into the body and had to trim away some more of the fender flairs, and duct tape a patch for the body (I'll need to weld some steel in to fix the undercarriage).
Even with heavy toytec coilovers in front and heavy OME springs in the rear my front and rear bumpers made the suspension feel very soft at speed. While I consider stiffer suspension options, curious about the front swaybar rods obvisouly I shoudl have disconnected them before hitting the trail, but for replacements should I do the generic ones via ebay, or throw down x2.5 for the heavy duty alum ones? I was running the marlin crawler blocks to lower the contact points so I could use the stock length ones.
thanks
