I also lack skills tools and space to build my own drawers. I am in Denver, CO and I am also having a very difficult time finding a place that will build me what I am looking for. It all depends on what you're looking for and budget. You could spend anywhere from $1000-$5000. Expo has a good guide to drawers systems and storage bins that you should take a look at.

Built this about 4 months ago and absolutely love it. The drawer sits permanently in my 4R. It also has a detachable extension to have a full platform to sleep on as well. Works perfect!

Ended up putting the paddle latches on it to open up after the build and those worked a ton better to keep the drawers shut while driving. Super snug!

These had the old handles on them when I first had them, but just for reference when its opened. And opens almost fully. Only has about 4-5 inches left when its fully extended.

My new build.

Here is a prototype of the box that I built. I am thinking about making custom cargo boxes for a few popular models (T4R, Wrangler, Cherokee) and selling them locally (Austin, TX). Before I do, I would love some market research input about what you like/dont like, and what would be cool to have on them.

The outside is lined with the same material that the T4R uses, the inside is sprayed with truck bed liner to make it tougher and resistant to scratches if you're keeping tools in there.

I will finish it off with locking paddle latches and finally the bottom of the box.

Thanks. Yours looked the best from what I could tell. I ended up buying the vehicle carpet from an upholstery store after I couldnt find what I was looking for anywhere else.

I previously built my own single-drawer and cargo platform, but I was not entirely satisfied and didn't have the tools or time to re-build my cargo system since I recently moved (most of my tools are at my parent's house now). I bit the bullet and decided to buy a set of ARB outback solutions drawers.

I'm definitely satisfied with this setup and expect that these drawers will outlast my truck, and probably get passed on to the next truck whenever that may be. The drawers are absolutely rock solid and I can use the slider top to anchor my ice chest on trips or eventually install a fridge.

Picked one up from 4WP with 10% off & free shipping (came out to around $650 for the slider top) and the other through the group buy for about $530 (fixed top). They weren't cheap but definitely quality! After building my own drawer, i kind of wish i would have saved the money on materials and put it towards a pre-fabbed drawer set.

Made this setup just before going on the rick rock trail while heading to Ouray. I used the stock sliding tray for the back half. Works great for cooking.
