Post Toytec lift numbers?

You all know I put my lift in last month and I am looking for others that have installed this lift to compare before and after lift numbers from ground to bottom of fender opening. Here are my numbers.

Front Before 34"
Front After 38 1/2"
Rear Before 36"
Rear After 39"

As you can see I netted 4 1/2" of lift in the front and 3" in the rear. Just want to know if every one else netted the same results with the Toytec 3" ultimate lift. I called toytec and they said my numbers are right and my front must have been really sagging.

I am keeping an eye on the cv boots. the front coil overs from Toytec was set at the factory and was to be only net a 2 1/2 to 3" of lift. I didn't change anything just put them in. So I am not sure why I ended up with 4 1/2" of lift unless my front end was really sagging around and 1 1/2" due to the grill guard I had installed but I didn't think it weighted that much. Does anyone have the same lift and have before and after numbers? I will be adjusting the lift down if it doesn't settle down an 1/2 to 1" over the next few months. I might get my shrockworks bumper and that might help weight the front down some.

I think your before numbers not only show no sag at all but are above average by 1/2 to 1" unless your before is with the larger tires then you are still avg and no sag.

My before numbers are after I up sized my tires to 265/70R17. I will take a picture of the cv boots when I get home from work. I am just wondering why I ended up with about a 1" more lift all the way around. Will it settle that much or am I going to get a little more or less sag as the new suspension breaks in?

Here is a picture of the from the front looking back at the driver side. I did install the 1" diff drop.

And here is one from the back on the driver side. also on a side note the coil overs are still at the setting they arrived at which is 1 3/4" of treads showing.

Thanks Darrick. I am really liking the lift. How long will it take to break in? I am thinking of UCA but not sure right now. I know I don't need them but what the heck it will give me a little bit more downward tavel right. Also not sure if I should get longer brake lines.

Within just a couple of weeks, you should see some mild settling on all the springs.

We have found with the 4th gen 4Runners, that Toyota has these vehicles coming from the factor lower than before, creating some higher numbers on our leveling kits.

Your CV angles look pretty normal for a lifted vehicle.

If you do want some more down travel, especially when you go off road, the UCA's are a great addition!!

And then sort of the same thing with the brake lines, if you don't plan on 4 wheeling the rig, your brake lines are fine, but if you want to have some fun on some rocks, I would recommend longer brake lines.

Hope that helps,

ive got toytec adj. coilovers & when buying them, it said 1-3 1/2, not what most other CO say (0-3 1/2) lift (because of the suspension on the newer t4r) ( its really about 3/4) its like having 1 in. already built in, so, if theyre cranked all the way down no thread showing, thats what you get. mine came with 1 & 3/4 thread showing & i didnt want 3 +in. in lift, so i turned down to only 1/2 in. showing & got 2 in. of lift. measuring (not center cap) from the ground as you did, it now measures about 35 1/2 dr, 36 ps. give or take 1/4 in. for not exactly level ground. but my before # s were almost 1in. less than yours, my front was 3 in. lower than rear. ( talk about sag) ive got the 5100 shocks with airlift bags in rear , that measurement is 1 in. higher, (bags filled gets me 1/2 to 1 in more) so ive still got a 1in. rake. sorry for this letter, but my point is, that you got that 4+ lift in front because you left them cranked all the way out, so, if you adj. them, for every 1/2 in. less thread showing you will lower the front by 1 in. ive had mine on for over a year & there is still no settling, my 2 cents is , adjust it, 4 & 1/2 is a little too high. if you get the steel bumper it will probably drop about 1/2 in. (down to 4) still high. if you set at 1 in. of thread showing, that should give you the 3 in. your looking for. good luck, & let us know how it works out.

i was assuming that when you purchased the 3 in. lift, you were expecting 3 in front & 3 in back, maintaining the same front to rear rake. if thats the case, try cranking down by about 1/2- 3/4 in. if not , it shouldnt look bad set where it is now, (good thing ya got the diff. drop) kind of like just raising the front an 1 & 1/2. for a little less rake. are you worried about it looking like its going uphill when looking at the running boards? take em off , but i bet it looks fine with the tube steps.

Well I just lowered the coil overs What a PITA. Well after 3 hours I got the set to 1 1/4 inch of threads showing and that dropped the front by 1 1/4 inches. So now I am sitting at about 37 5/8 inches in the front which is about 3 1/2 inches of lift in the front and 38 7/8 inches in the rear which is about 2 1/2 inches of lift in the rear. I will have to get and alignment tomorrow since I don't have time to get it done today.
