Got tired or the chrome handles and opted for the oem black smart handles. I believe these are same for nightshade.

Mine is a 2016 limited and has 6pin smart handle connectors. The newer smart handles only have 2pins. You simple remove 3 screws and swap the inner handle electronics.

The newer handles no longer have the seam so looks thinner.

The new handles are oem painted attitude black which also matches the mirror caps and hatch garnish.

How much did those handles run you?

If I recall correctly, you replaced the rear handle trim as opposed to dip or painting it?

I replace all 4 handles, end covers and seals. Only the two front ones are smart and rears are non-smart.

body shop wanted $600 to paint my chrome handles, new black handles were ~ $500 shipped.

1st post....

Just picked up a 2010 Blizzard Pearl SR5. 94k miles, pretty good condition.

I had zero interest in 4Runners until recently. We picked up a used GX470 for my daughter (150k miles) and was quite impressed. Decided to get a used 4Runner for my wife to replace her BMW X3.

Some mods and upgrades are planned....
