Hi,

I have a black limited 97 4Runner and currently have these wheels:










I am wondering if another set would look better or if I should paint them something besides black, like a silver or dark gunmetal. I feel sometimes like my whole truck is TOO black. It looks great after a wash but when dusty it is so-so.

If everyone can please post their wheels this would really help.

I don't have black aftermarket wheels, but I honestly think your truck looks great the way it is! Not too much black IMHO, especially since the wheels have the silver ring...those wheels are the same ones that I was gonna get for my black Taco.

Rc4R, I couldn't actually find your RIMs online but I know what they look like.

I don't see many Black trucks with different color wheels though. People seem to stick with black.

Just paint your limited flares a flat black color and it will break the black up. Like rhino line them or something. I think the gloss with rhino lining would be awesome. And check my wheels out in my profile. I don't have a close up but they are similar ish to yours.

Here's mine. I used a bronze colored simulated beadlock ring to break up the black color between the wheels and tires.

Maybe not go with the transformer decal... But something red would go with your skid nicely. A star or something... Yota symbol?

Those bronze fakebeads look great!

I've gotten tired of the black wheels on everthing on the road and it's refreshing to see something different. I like black wheels on some vehicles but the trend has really become too mainstream for my taste.

This truck would look wrong with any other color besides black.:thumb3:

These are my favs so far in this thread.

I really like the gunmetal color and would consider even doing my Limited wheels the same or similar.

Love the style of the rim is nice and the shine isn't blinding you.

Just a photoshop job I did a while back but here are the 02 sport/limited wheels in dark grey. I'm the same as you though I definitely dig the look but don't want to commit to doing it because I feel like I would change my mind a few weeks later.
