I got tattooed about 20 years ago and just lost interest but I'm back with a vengeance and am going big.
Round 1 was just today and in 3 weeks I go back for some color and details.

Damn......came in expecting to have some laughs, leaving wanting to get more ink done.

Cool tats guys an gals.

I've got a couple, one on my left upper arm and one on my right. I'm kinda OCD about things "balancing out", so both have the same tribal with different "inside". One is a "family" crest (I "quote" that because there's technically no such thing as a family crest, per se) and the second is my Lion (I'm a leo)
(Sorry for quality, these are cell phone pics. lol)

Round 2 finished last night;this one hurt a bit more than the first sitting and probably will have 3-4 more sittings before it's all done.

How many hours each sitting? My back piece took about 10-11hrs. Two long 4 hr sessions and a light 2-3hr one to end it off.

It's been between 2-3 hours each with a couple breaks in there. I'm having only a couple colors done each sitting for now so we don't get bleed over so I'm being patient with it. It has so many colors it's going to take some time so I'm being very patient.
Next up is the blues and greens, then more detail work and I plan on finishing it off with a border of outer space similar to my avatar but with the artist's own touch.

If I get around to it tomm ill get some pics up. Ill have to get someone to take the pics. Full shirt to photograph.

Ayden is my son. The gargoyle is me protecting him.

Sorry for the terrible quality.

I got this one in Maui while my wife was pregnant for the first time. The Koi symbolizes change or transformation. I think there are very few transformations greater than becoming a father.

The tribal armband is my only ink that was not drawn by myself. I got that when I was 18 in 1996 and tribal armbands were all the rage! lmao. I don't regret it only because it reminds me of a certain part of my life that, although bad, helped me get where I am today. The cross has a Lutheran Rose at the center and the Flower is a Lilly with my daughter name "Lilijana" in my wife's handwriting. The spot behind the cross is reserved for the second baby, someday.

Look forward to seeing the progression.
