Potential 4Runner owner

I am looking at purchasing a 1998 Toyota 4Runner SR5. The vehicle has 122,000 miles, 3.4L V6, and 4WD. Seems to run good (engine seemed a tad noisey) and 4WD works and doesn't seem to make any odd noises (other than tires) while turning. Talked the guy down to $5,100. I am searching for information regarding any problems or irregular maintenance that they may need. Any information about this vehicle would be most helpful.

$5100 seems like a pretty good deal, assuming that the truck is in good condition overall.

I would check if the timing belt was done, check to make sure that the rear axle seals are not leaking, and go over the maintenance records to make sure that the truck was serviced at the proper intervals, including the transmission, if the one your looking at is an auto.
