Powder Coating Question Anyone have Experience

I was going to have my TRD exhaust tip powdercoated black chrome. Would this be ok or would the heat from the tip take the paint off right away?

It all depends on what type (chemistry) the powder coating is. As with liquid coatings, powder coatings can be epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane, polyester, hybrid, etc.

High temperature coatings (liquid or powder) are based on silicone resins. Usually the greater the level of silicone (as opposed to alkyd), the higher the heat resistance properties.
