power antenna is stuck

a week ago i turned on the radio the power antenna extended half way, stopped, and started to make a griding noise. luckely after turning the radio off the antenna retracted.
I looked at pictures of the antenna online and saw that it has a plastic tail with teeth. i assume that some of the teeth broke off and jamming the motor.
What is the best course of action to remedy this.
how do i get to the antenna?
best replacement options?

what about fixing mirrors?

i have searched for threads on repairing broken mirror glass but got nothing. do you have any suggestions?
