Hey guys earlier today I put in an aftermarket deck into my 99 4runner and while I was wiring up the wiring harness I noticed there was a blue wire that said power antenna on the part that you plug into the factory harness but the wiring that goes to the deck does not have the blue wire. Now the antenna will not come up like it did before, so how can I fixed this? Thanks

I installed an aftermarket in my 02, or rather had Car Toys do the install. When they got to hooking up the antenna, they said something about needing some special adapter since it had the power antenna. Not sure what that was for, but my antenna works. The adapter was about $15.

I will have to check that out. I called the local car toys here and they said they did not know of any adapter and would need to trouble shoot why its not working. I think they are just trying to get me in there to charge me money for something simple

I have an Alpine.

I remember getting a little confused as to which wire to hook that up to. If I remember correctly I had one wire that didn't go to anything.

Ya Alpine units have the blue wire which is the power antenna but my new pioneer one doesn't have the blue wire like my old alpine one.

Ok guys I finally figured it out. I called pioneer and talked to the tech support. They said I need to hook the blue power antenna wire to remote blue and white wire where the blue wire also goes from the amp. Thanks guys

Mine gets power from the remote wire too and it works fine. How is it spliced in with the remote wire?

The power remote wire, power antenna wire, and the remote wire from the amp all are twisted together. The amp works but the power antenna doesn't come up. I know that the motor works because it worked when I pulled out my other deck the other day
