Hey all, I have a 99 4rnr ltd. The power door lock on the drivers side no longer unlocks the door, my question is: can I simply replace the door lock button from one on an online site, or do I have to replace the whole thing from a junkyard? The big issue is if the switch has to be soldered on the back, or if it can just plug in ?? Please help me save some money by not making a mistake?!!??!

Does the keyless entry work the drivers door or does it unlock all the other doors but drivers door? If it does work, then the door switch is bad. Buy a another one and replace. no soldering required. Just pull old switch up and unplug. installation is the reverse.
If the door doesn't unlock via keyless entry, then the door lock actuator is bad. Need to buy another one and replace.
