I personally can't reccomend a specific brand for their best value, but Downey headers have a good rep, NWOR sells their own design. I also think edelbrock makes a set as well. It all depends on your preferance. I have friends that ran Downey's and liked them. I'm sure someone else on here can offer some feedback as well!
I have a 95 4runner that I've had since December. It has the v6 that has a reputation for sluggishness. I'm just wondering if mine is more sluggish than most. I live in a hilly area north of SF and drive my 4runner to Tahoe. When I'm going up hills, especially on my way to Tahoe, it will barely stay at highway speeds. On flat ground, it will drive 75 or 80 without much trouble, but it's extremely reluctant to go up mountains. Is this normal? I've already replaced the O2 sensor.

I have the Downey offroad longtube headers and they were on the car when I bought it. So no idea on the price. Since then I put a new motor and trans in. Guess what you can't take out the motor until you unbolt youR headers and you have to reinstall the headers when you are half way droppin it into the engine compartment. But all and all worth it for sure. Have you seen the stock exhaust manifold set up crossover bull Ish and heavy as all hell.
For whoever asked "what are headers" Headers are Exhaust Manifold replacements. They bolt directly onto the Heads (cylinder heads).
If it doesn't burn out it is abnormally sluggish. I just found OUT when I put the new motor IN check out this thread I know I'm just bragging but who cares I'm like all :awais: :dancin:

can you tell me how much it would cost in the states for that kind of upgrade?
did it make a significant difference??

i'm just hgappy mine makes up for it off road, it does really well on sand and dunes!!!

Mine does great in the snow. Haven't taken it off road yet. Just wish I didn't have to get in the slow lane with the 18 wheelers going up to Tahoe.
