So I have been having a loss of power now for a while and after trying all the small fixes I took it to a shop today. The guy there (who has worked on family vehicles for years) said that it wasn't the valves like I thought it might be (thank god) and it was most likely plugged exhaust. The exhaust coming out under load was extremely hot and he said that would definitely cause my lack of power during my starts and at freeway speeds. The shop was booked out until Friday to test it, so me being impatient i'm wondering if I can remove my 1st 02 sensor to see if that relieves any of the pressure and verify that it is probably my cat? I've read somewhere a while ago that you can remove the 02 sensor to let pressure out, but i'm not sure if that is correct and what it will do if i do indeed remove it?
Anyone had similar issues or done this before?
