Power mirror stuck

First off, apologies since I never post, only follow the rest of y'all. And I've searched for related topics but haven't had luck finding anything on this...

I have a very lovely '02 SE and was giving her a good wash earlier and apparently got a bit vigorous on the driver's side mirror. Now it only adjusts vertically with the switch. Not horizontally. the other mirror is just fine, so I'm not sure WHAT I've done. Help??

Come on y'all. Nothing? It's easily moved manually, but I'd rather figure this out...

Sometimes you gotta give it a few hours and sometimes even days to get responses. I've never had that happen, but my 1st thought is water and electrical don't mix. Do you have an air compressor? If so, blow air in the mirror where you shot water. If not, give it a day and it'll probably start working again. You might have to take the mirror apart if that doesn't work. The bolts that hold it on are behind the little tweeter panel on the inside of the doors. I remember the little panel almost feels like you are going to break it when you try to pry it off, but I can't remember how I did it. I think I just pulled hard and it popped off. I doubt it's a fuse or anything either since vertical still works.

Obviously the motor still works, my guess is that you might've just inadvertently pushed one side of the mirror from it's normal seated position...maxed out to one side and thereby not allowing your switch to freely move the mirror horizontally.

Try adjusting the mirror by centering it, if that's the case. You'll hear clicks as you do this manually..then try and see if the switch works.

Yeah, I figured I hadn't done any serious damage, just enough to annoy me for the next day or so. I'll give it a try before work tomorrow. There WAS a considerable amount of water since I was uh, washing hahah. Makes sense!
