Power outage; what to do, what to do?

Well, the 80mph winds knocked down a couple trees which took out some power lines and poles. Been sitting in the dark now with the GF for almost 2hrs and the snow is starting to pile up outside. Just wondering what you guys do during power outages?

On a more serious note - do you have gas? Or some way to keep the house warm? Because if not, I'd be considering a hotel.

Last winter power was out for a week. We got In my runner drove to the store (running on generators) bought a bunch of beer beans and meat. Got hammered at night and enjoyed the snow during the day. It looked like a war zone in some places it was insanity. 17 inches in 2 hours... Doesn't sound like allot but it was the record for that year since the 50's or so. Oh yeah and can't forget seeing how many places you can take your runner that it technically shouldn't go!

Really dude? You need to bump uglies, play board games and drink, then bump uglies again. I love your truck but not your power outage activities.

I usually start the generator when the power goes out.
