Power practical- luminoodle LED GROUP BUY!!! 30% OFF

Anyone use their basecamp yet? how is the light output?

I just got it today and its def bright. However, i wish i looked at the description better and seen it was only powered by 12v input. I was expecting usb like the others but didn't read closely enough. I think ill return it and get two small color ones.

I’m going to try a 12v to USB adapter/inverter

Sweet thanks. yea I picked up their pronto base camp battery pack. really haven't gotten a chance to take it out and test it out.

Went to test my base camp last night and it looks like I have a defective connector for brightness adjustment and I can't skip over it and directly connect the AC or DC outlets.

Just ordered two 5' basic models. Already have a USB solar recharge battery pack, so we'll see how it works when they arrive.

blksubykid, did you contact customer service? I have a co-worker that had issues with his product and he was able to get a replacement. I'm interested to see how consistent their customer service is.

For the group buy combo, I would be interested in the 10 feet with battery pack.

Yeah I emailed them last night. Will update once I get a response

Quick report.
Ordered 10ftx2, got one 10ft section last wednesday, the day before we left on a 4 day trip on the Oregon coast. I emailed customer service and they said they would get the other one out right away.

As far as use. We basically used it to light under our RTT and then we would unplug it from inside, once we were in for the night. Little tricky getting into the plugs, but is snug once it's in there. Right now, dirt seems to want to stick to the "rope", but I'm sure that'll ease up after use. The light is VERY white in my opinion, which is part of the reason we left it under the RTT and more or less out of sight from the campfire. Not a deal breaker, but was expecting something a little warmer. I didn't mess with the magnets at all, but was thankful for the small loop at the end so I could clip it to the bottom of the RTT with a carabiner.

Overall, I like it so far and with fall/winter right around the corner, I'm sure I'll be finding more and more uses for them. Great purchase in my opinion! I remember these when they did their initial kickstarter and was kinda bummed I hadn't jumped on, so nice to finally grab a couple of these!

Got an email from Rachel yesterday stating that they will be sending me a new inline controller. Shortly after, got a shipping notification but has yet to update yet.

Has anyone had any issues with their basecamp? Just received the replacement inline controller, the lights work but the inline controller does absolutely nothing and the buttons on the wireless remote do not do as they are depicted to do (ie power on changes modes, power off does nothing, color +/- change brightness). Reached out to them again, let’s see what they do/say...

I installed my cabinet light, and the remote would only turn the lights on, nothing else. I reached out to loominoodle and they sent another remote, but for the basecamp. It would not sync with the cabinet light. Now waiting on luminously to send me a new remote. I have a feeling it’s not the remote, but with the light itself....

Finally got mine after package was lost. They sent another and we are GTG! 10 foot and USB dimmer are fantastic. Look forward to using it at camp and in and around the 4runner!

Inline controller worked after replacement was sent (had to connect/disconnect several times first), however my new wireless remote still does not control the light as intended to. The replacement arrived yesterday and the issue still remains, if not worse than original remote. I am disappointed with my experience to say the least and will be returning the base camp. I was honestly looking forward to using this but for $60+ I expect better.

Damn man, sorry to hear that. That is definitely not a good buying experience.
Did you reach out to Kenyon directly? I am sure he will take care of you and figure this out for you. But would completely understand if you just returned it given the frustrations you have experienced.

Emailed Kenyon. I will be giving them one more shot. Apparently there are 2 different versions of the wireless remote and in order to fix my issue I need the “older one”. He’s sending me another remote and if this solves the issue I told him he should inform their customer service reps so they can properly resolve the issue in a timely manor. It would’ve been nice if I brought this to Havasupai but then again I didn’t need anymore weight in my backpack lol

Anyone know what the waterproof connector is? I'd like to diy my own 12v power connector to supply my luminoodle.

UPDATE: I received the old remote Saturday and everything works as it should. Still a little disappointed that it took this long to resolve, let alone have 2 issues before even using the item, but nonetheless can't wait to for our next trip to finally use this.
