Power seat woes

Hey all,

2006 Sport 4x4. I'm the 2nd owner and bought it from the original owner. Have owned it for about 2 months now.

First mod I did was to install a new head unit. Spent a lot of time sitting in the passenger seat. After all the work was finished and the interior put back together, noticed that the passenger seat was fully reclined and that the recline switch no longer worked. Fore/aft was fine, just the recline had stopped. Figured I must've shorted something somewhere, so swapped the switch out with a new one a week later. New switch worked perfectly, no issues since. Until today...

Today, my 9 year old was riding around with me and was sitting up front in the passenger seat. He adjusted the seat for his comfort and the damn recline switch stopped working again. No clue what's going on here. Any thoughts?

Honestly, at this point I'd bust out an EWD (Electrical Wiring Diagram) and the DMM (Digital Multi-Meter) and start checking wiring. There's probably an issue in either the harness or the motor assembly for the reclining feature.

My lumbar support goes in and out. It's a legit piss off. And the memory function stopped working out of no where... :/

The way the lumbar system is set-up on these seats they tend to easily jam up (it's a couple of stamped gears turning a rod with some protrusions that can get bent). I mistakenly replaced my lumbar motor under extended warranty when it was actually the mechanism binding up. Either way it's a pain to get working again, I set mine and never touched it since.
